The loss of a pet can be emotionally devastating. Sadly, the impact of the heartbreak of this type of loss is often downplayed or ignored by friends and family. This 6-meeting program is focused on offering pet owners an effective mechanism for taking action to move through and beyond their grief.

Have a pet loss?
Loss is a heart issue, not a head issue. When we lose a pet, society has trained us not to feel bad over the loss because it was “just a pet”. It’s almost like it’s not important or it’s silly to grieve over our pet but what we do know is that our heart is broken and it’s aching. We can’t sleep, we can’t eat, we can’t function because it feels like we’ve lost our best friend. Well, we probably have.
Our heart hurts and it feels just like it did when we suffered our last loss. Whether a human loved one has died or whether we’ve experienced any other loss, it feels the same. The pain feels the same.
This three week course gives us permission to talk about, honor and grieve our loved pet. We will also use EFT (emotional freedom technique) to desensitize the pain and put ourselves back on a path where live is bareable again. This program is not intended to have you forget what happened but help relieve the pain of the heartache.
This will be lead by Ellie McFalls, MCHt, a certified Grief Specialist and Dr. Sara Fletcher, DVM who is a hospice doctor who does end of care life.
